British Shooting Trio Withdraws from 2024 ISSF World Cup Final Due to Visa Issues.
Great Britain’s shooting team, consisting of Ben Llewellin, Matt Coward-Holley, and Nathan Hales, has withdrawn from the 2024 ISSF World Cup Final in New Delhi, India, due to complications with their visas.
British Shooting confirmed this setback in a statement released on Sunday.
“We regret to announce that Matt Coward-Holley, Nathan Hales, and Ben Llewellin have had to withdraw from the competition. Unfortunately, this decision was made due to visa complications that could not be resolved in time for their participation,” the statement read.
The organization expressed sympathy for the athletes, noting that they had worked hard throughout the season and were eager to compete at this prestigious event, having qualified based on their excellent performances in 2024.
“British Shooting shares their disappointment and will continue to support them as they refocus their efforts on future competitions,” the statement added.
The ISSF World Cup Final is scheduled to take place from October 13 to 18.
