Seremban: Immigration Department Detains 102 Illegal Immigrants in Raids.

The Immigration Department has detained 102 illegal immigrants in a series of raids at 18 locations around Seremban and Jelebu, including construction sites and entertainment outlets.

According to State Immigration Director Kennith Tan Ai Kiang, 120 foreigners were screened during the two-day operation, which began yesterday.

In a statement, Tan explained that the raids were conducted following complaints about the misuse of temporary employment visit passes (PLKS), a violation of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Those detained, aged between 17 and 55, are from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Myanmar, India, China, and Thailand.

The detained individuals have been placed at the Lenggeng Immigration Detention Depot in Nilai for further investigation.
