Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met at Parliament House in Canberra this morning for the ninth annual China-Australia Prime Ministers’ Meeting.
Following their discussions, Li announced that China will grant Australians visa-free entry. Additionally, both countries agreed to issue three-to-five-year multiple-entry visas for tourism, business, and visiting purposes.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership, aiming to strengthen bilateral relations and promote regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity.
It was also announced that Australia will host the 10th China-Australia Science and Technology Cooperation Joint Committee Meeting, the 8th China-Australia High-Level Dialogue, and the 8th China-Australia Ministerial Dialogue on Climate Change later this year.
