The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for candidates vying for the fiscal year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap lottery. This extension provides additional time for employers and attorneys to complete the online registration process.
Originally slated to conclude at noon (EDT) on Friday, March 22, 2024, the registration period has now been extended until noon (EDT) on Monday, March 25, 2024. The move comes after the agency acknowledged technical challenges encountered by users during the initial registration period.
Employers seeking to register candidates for the FY 2025 H-1B cap lottery are required to establish an online account with USCIS. This extended deadline grants companies and attorneys the opportunity to finalize registrations over the weekend.
Upon completion of the lottery, USCIS will issue confirmations, and lottery results will be accessible through the USCIS organizational online account.
