Thailand is set to introduce the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) on May 1, 2025, as part of its ongoing digital transformation of immigration processes. Managed by the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, the TDAC aims to streamline border procedures, minimize paperwork, and improve the overall convenience for travelers.
The online form, which must be completed before arrival, will collect essential travel and personal information from all foreign passport holders, including tourists, business travelers, and long-term residents. The only exceptions are travelers transiting or transferring through Thailand without passing through immigration control, and those entering the country with a Border Pass.
Travelers can submit their TDAC up to three days before their scheduled arrival date. For instance, those arriving on May 5 can begin their submission as early as May 2. The system will open for submissions starting on April 28, ahead of the May 1 launch.
The TDAC can be submitted individually or as part of a group via the online portal. Travelers will be required to provide passport information, personal and travel details, accommodation information in Thailand, and a basic health declaration. Additionally, long-term foreign residents in Thailand should select “Thailand” under the “Country of Residence” section once the system is activated.
In cases where travelers are unable to complete the TDAC prior to arrival or lack internet access at the point of entry, designated help points will be available at immigration checkpoints. However, this assistance will be provided only under exceptional circumstances. Authorities strongly encourage all travelers to complete the TDAC online in advance to avoid delays and reduce congestion at entry points.
