Idaho Governor Brad Little Signs Statement Supporting Trump’s Immigration and Deportation Policies

by Hyacinth

Idaho Governor Brad Little has joined 25 other Republican governors in a public statement supporting President-elect Donald Trump’s immigration and deportation policies. The announcement was made late Wednesday.

Trump has vowed to take executive actions on his first day in office to strengthen immigration enforcement. These measures would include granting federal immigration officers authority to arrest individuals without criminal records, deploying more U.S. troops along the border with Mexico, and resuming construction of the border wall, according to Reuters.

They highlighted the importance of addressing the threat posed by criminal illegal immigrants, including gang members and terrorists. “We will do everything in our power to assist in removing them from our communities,” the statement noted.
