U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem Implements New Visa Appointment System Starting November 12, 2024.

From November 1 to November 11, 2024, the current visa appointment system will be offline for both nonimmigrant and immigrant visas. During this period, customers cannot schedule new appointments or reschedule existing ones. However, the Visa Units in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv will continue to conduct visa interviews as usual. Those with existing appointments should still attend them.

Existing Appointments: If you already have an appointment scheduled, no action is needed. Just attend your appointment on the scheduled date and time.

Paid but Unscheduled Appointments: If you have paid the visa application fee but have not scheduled an interview, it is strongly advised to schedule your appointment before November 1, 2024, using the current system (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/). After November 1, the system will only allow read-only access. If you do not schedule by this date, you will need to wait until November 12, 2024, to schedule using your existing fee.

New Applicants: If you plan to apply for a visa but haven’t started the process, pay the visa application fee and schedule your appointment as soon as possible. Note that the current system will stop accepting cash payments on October 29, 2024, and credit card payments on November 1, 2024. You can make payments for new visa fees in the new system starting November 12, 2024.

Document Submission: If you have begun your visa application and received instructions to mail documents to the Consular Section, it is recommended to drop off the requested documents at an authorized location as soon as possible. These locations will stop accepting documents on November 6, 2024.
