Victim of Illegal Immigrant Released Under Harris’s Program Criticizes Her Resurfaced Speech

Woman Attacked by Illegal Immigrant Criticizes Kamala Harris Over “Glitch” Comment.

A woman who suffered a severe skull fracture from an attack by an illegal immigrant is speaking out against Vice President Kamala Harris. The attack occurred in 2008, and the immigrant involved was released from jail due to a program initiated by Harris when she was the District Attorney of San Francisco. Kiefer is frustrated after hearing Harris refer to the incident as a “glitch” in the system.

Amanda Kiefer, the victim of the attack, shared her feelings in a statement to Fox News Digital. “That ‘glitch’ certainly had a negative impact on my life,” she said. It would be easier to believe it was a mistake if Democrats in San Francisco didn’t have a long history of enabling illegal immigration, choosing not to prosecute illegal immigrant criminals and refusing to deport anyone.

Kiefer emphasized her concerns regarding the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of immigration. “It wasn’t a ‘glitch’ that the Biden-Harris administration has let in millions of illegal immigrants, including known criminals and those on the terror watch list. At a certain point, it can’t be incompetence; it’s intentional. Harris doesn’t care about Americans’ safety,” she stated.

In a resurfaced speech from 2010, Harris explained the reasoning behind the program called “Back on Track.” This initiative allowed non-violent offenders to avoid jail time and participate in job training programs. During her address at a Women in Leadership conference at UC Berkeley, she acknowledged potential issues with new systems.

“But whenever you’re rolling out something new, there will at some point become apparent that there is a mistake or a glitch in the design,” Harris said. “That mistake or glitch is on the front page of the paper.”

Kiefer was attacked by Alexander Izaguirre, an illegal immigrant, while walking with friends in San Francisco. Izaguirre stole her purse and attempted to run her down in a waiting SUV, causing her skull fracture. Despite having been arrested a few months earlier on drug charges, Izaguirre was able to remain free due to the program Harris launched.

Harris continued her speech by expressing the risks associated with innovative criminal justice programs. “The fear will always be that someone will go out and harm others, and then everyone will look back and say, ‘Why didn’t you do it the way it’s always been done?’” she said.

In her remarks, Harris referred to criticism of her program, noting that some media suggested it was designed to “shield illegal aliens.” She expressed frustration over the “unfairness and mischaracterization” of her initiatives.

In 2009, Harris assured the public that Izaguirre was being prosecuted and would be deported with her “full encouragement and support.” She described his release as a “flaw in the design” of the system that had since been corrected.

Earlier this year, Kiefer reflected on her experience and its impact on her political beliefs. She stated that the incident served as a “red pill moment,” prompting her to reevaluate her previous liberal views and support candidates like former President Trump.

Kiefer, who moved out of San Francisco due to safety concerns, expressed doubt about the country’s security under Harris’s leadership. “I don’t think our country is going to be safe under Kamala Harris,” she said.
