Philippines Citizens Eligible for Australia’s Work and Holiday Visa Program

The Australian Department of Home Affairs has expanded its Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) visa program to include citizens of the Republic of the Philippines, effective from July 1, 2024.

This update is formalized in the Migration (Arrangements for Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) Visa Applications) Amendment (The Philippines) Instrument (LIN 24/041) 2024, which modifies previous legislation (LIN 21/019) to designate the Philippines as a participating country under the program. The amendment also outlines specific educational requirements for applicants.

Educational Qualifications:

Under the revised program, applicants from the Philippines must meet one of the following educational criteria to qualify for the Work and Holiday visa:
