New Visa Application Centre Opens in Ghana on October 22, 2024.
Ghanaian citizens applying for UK visas will need to use a new Visa Application Centre (VAC) starting October 22, 2024. The UK’s third-party VAC supplier in Ghana will change from TLScontact to VFSGlobal on this date.
If you have already started your application with TLScontact, you will need to complete it with VFSGlobal. You will receive an email if this change impacts you. However, there is no need for concern, as this transition will not affect visa application decisions, processing times, or fees.
This change aims to enhance service quality, including shorter biometric and application submission times at the VAC.
The UK’s global network of VACs is operated by third-party suppliers on behalf of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
Marc Owen, the UKVI Director for Visa, Status, and Information Services, stated, “The opening of our new VAC in Ghana marks an exciting milestone in providing a world-class UK visa operation, offering important digital innovations and convenience to customers worldwide.”
The new VAC location in Ghana is at the Mezzanine Floor, Grand Oyeeman Building, South Liberation Link, Accra.
Further Information:
The improved service will include shorter biometric and application submission times.
The average passport collection time will be reduced to 20 minutes.
Customers will receive clearer information to differentiate between free and paid services.
These supplier changes will not impact the visa process, immigration rules, or current visa fees.
